Associate Therapist (AMFT/ACSW/APCC) – Full-Time | Sacramento, CA
$33–$35/hour | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Onsite

Evolve Treatment Centers offers cutting-edge Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Residential programs for teens ages 12–17 struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. We use evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as a range of experiential therapies.

Our Associate Therapist Training Program provides a unique opportunity for pre-licensed clinicians to gain hands-on experience working with adolescents experiencing acute mental health challenges in a residential settings. Clinical supervision, ongoing training, and regular shadowing opportunities are all included.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family therapy to teens and their caregivers

  • Conduct Biopsychosocial Assessments upon admission (with support and independently)

  • Attend and participate in weekly clinical treatment team meetings

  • Collaborate with clinical staff to implement individualized treatment plans

  • Participate in weekly training track group supervision and individual supervision (as applicable)

  • Offer case management support and coordinate with the Aftercare Manager for discharge planning

  • Partner with Residential Counselors to implement effective behavioral interventions

  • Facilitate and eventually lead DBT Skills Training groups

  • Complete clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments, in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work

  • Active BBS Associate Registration (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC)

  • Minimum 1-year training commitment required

  • Passion for working with teens and families in a fast-paced clinical environment
