Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 annually plus sign-on bonus up to $5,000

We are seeking a passionate, experienced Clinical Director to lead our 6-bed adolescent residential program in Sacramento, CA! This is a unique opportunity for a licensed clinician to drive clinical excellence, mentor a dynamic team, and make a real difference in the lives of young people.
As Clinical Director, you’ll be the heart of our therapeutic team—ensuring top-tier care, supporting clinical staff, and guiding program development in alignment with Evolve’s values.
Oversee all clinical programming and maintain the highest standards of care, safety, and ethical practice
Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed clinicians, fulfilling BBS supervision requirements
Support family engagement by participating in client tours and collaborating on treatment planning
Ensure our therapeutic approach remains evidence-based, behavioral, and aligned with Evolve’s mission
Lead weekly treatment team meetings and regular clinical trainings
Review clinical documentation to maintain licensing and quality standards
Step in for individual, group, or family therapy sessions as needed
Supervise and mentor Primary Therapists and collaborate closely with the Operations Manager
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and development plans
Partner with the Operations Manager to evaluate Residential Counselor and Chef performance
Foster a positive, team-oriented environment and facilitate quarterly team-building activities
Communicate key updates on policies, procedures, and clinical priorities
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations that reflect Evolve’s therapeutic structure and scheduling
LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC licensed in California
Ability to pass Live Scan and background clearance
Strong clinical judgment and leadership capabilities
Knowledge of adolescent mental health, co-occurring disorders, and behavioral interventions
Cultural humility and experience supporting diverse populations
This is a full-time, onsite position.
Experience working with adolescents in mental health or substance use treatment
Prior experience in clinical supervision or program management
