What You'll Be Doing

As a Residential Counselor, you’ll be right in the heart of the healing process — supporting up to 6 teens during their 45–60 day treatment journey. Your role? Helping them feel seen and safe.

• Offer 1:1 support for teens dealing with emotional + behavioral challenges
• Build trust through empathy, consistency, and real human connection
• Keep the vibe safe and supportive (emotional + physical safety = top priority)
• Lead or support teens in group activities — therapy sessions, creative projects, fitness, surf therapy, equine therapy
• Help create a structured, warm, and trauma-informed environment
• Model everyday life skills during meals, chores, and check-ins
• Stay calm and supportive during tough moments (don’t worry, we train you!)
• Document daily interactions to help guide treatment

• You’re patient, grounded, and genuinely love working with teens
• You can hold strong boundaries while keeping it warm + professional
• You thrive in team settings and love a little organized chaos
• You're eager to grow in the mental health field or take your impact deeper
• You’re teachable and open to feedback — no ego, just heart

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (bachelor’s or psych-related coursework = big plus)
• 21+ years old
• Can work at least one weekend shift/week
• Experience with teens or behavioral healthcare = awesome, but not required

Pay & Perks

$20.00 – $27.00/hour
