Evolve Treatment Centers is a nationally recognized leader in adolescent mental health care, offering state-of-the-art residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs for teens ages 12 to 17. We are seeking a dedicated Associate Therapist to join our clinical team in Sacramento. This is more than a job—it’s a clinical training ground where passionate associate-level clinicians gain advanced experience working with adolescents in acute care settings. Under the guidance of licensed supervisors, Associate Therapists deepen their therapeutic skill set and prepare for a career grounded in clinical excellence, whole-person healing, and human connection.

Why This Role Matters

As an Associate Therapist at Evolve, you will be on the front lines of adolescent mental health care. You'll walk alongside teens navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, substance use, identity issues, and family dynamics—often at critical turning points in their lives. You'll provide meaningful support through evidence-based modalities such as DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing, while contributing to a supportive, multidisciplinary team committed to deep healing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver weekly individual and family therapy sessions to adolescent clients and their caregivers

  • Complete thorough biopsychosocial assessments to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning

  • Participate in weekly clinical treatment team meetings to help craft personalized, goal-oriented care plans

  • Engage in individual and group supervision focused on skill development and clinical insight

  • Collaborate with Residential Counselors to ensure therapeutic interventions are carried out with consistency and care

  • Facilitate and eventually lead DBT skills training groups, developing proficiency in this gold-standard modality

  • Assist with case management and aftercare coordination, ensuring smooth transitions post-discharge

  • Maintain timely and comprehensive clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work

  • Active BBS associate registration (AMFT, APCC, or ACSW)

  • Passion for working with adolescents in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical setting

  • 1-year minimum training commitment preferred

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time, onsite: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Pay: $33.00 – $35.00 per hour
