The Full-Time Adolescent Psychiatrist will provide virtual psychiatric care to adolescent clients

in Residential Treatment Centers (RTC), supporting up to six programs. This role is essential in

ensuring high-quality, timely psychiatric care and requires close collaboration with a

multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, and program leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Initial Psychiatric Evaluations:

Complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluations within 24 hours of admission.

Ongoing Client Care:

Conduct weekly psychiatric follow-ups for all assigned clients.

On-Call Rotation:

Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support after-hours needs for RTC clients.

Collateral Communication:

Engage in regular communication with parents and external providers to ensure

coordinated care; complete peer reviews for medical necessity with insurance

Documentation:

Complete all required documentation, including evaluations, follow-ups, and collateral

notes, within 24 hours.

Internal Coverage:

Provide coverage for other psychiatrists during PTO or absences, in collaboration with

the Practice Director.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including therapists, nurses, and program

directors, to align on treatment goals and client needs.

Hours & Schedule:

General hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with an expected face-to-

face caseload of approximately 30-35 sessions per week across all assigned programs.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Psychiatrist in the state of California and Board Certified in Child and

Adolescent Psychiatry

• Experience in acute care settings and experience supporting non-medical detox protocols

• Strong working knowledge of evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, Solution-

Focused Therapy, etc.

Position Benefits Include:

• 4 weeks (20 days) Paid Time Off; 5 paid Sick Days

• 6 paid CME Days; $6,000 annual CME allowance

• $6,000 annual Medical/Vision/Dental Allowance

Annual Salary Range: $320,000- 350,000
