Job Summary

Intake Coordinators are responsible for, but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls and managing web inquiries, screening the inquiry, building strong rapport with callers and providing necessary information to prospective client’s families about Evolve.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answer all incoming phone calls and online inquiries in a timely manner
  • Talk to prospective families and referents about the program, while building rapport with the caller
  • Return missed calls in a timely manner
  • Begin the admissions process for incoming referrals and faxes
  • Answer general questions about Evolve’s levels of care and provide necessary information about each program offered in an intelligible and accurate manner
  • Collect necessary clinical and financial information about prospective client
  • Enter correct data of client demographics, insurance information, etc. into various software systems
  • Accurately document conversations with family’s and/or provider into software systems
  • Maintain contact with families when necessary, via email and/or follow up phone calls
  • Effectively communicate with Admissions Coordinators in the process of “handing off” the potential admission to them

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to explain common types of treatment modalities and terms used in a treatment setting for substance abuse and mental health treatment, (DBT, CBT, 12-Steps, group process etc.).
  • The ability to work as a cohesive team member, to manage calls, documentation and communicate the status of cases in order to assist families and clients.
  • Must be flexible, easily able to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day.
  • Must be highly organized and have the ability to work within several databases at a time.
  • Familiarity with DSM-IV-TR and mental health diagnoses is preferred
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience preferred but not required with adequate industry experience.
  • Ability to be empathetic and an active, attentive listener.
  • Clear and concise telephone and written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to keep information on each case separate and accurate
  • Must maintain confidential information
  • Ability to effectively utilize computers, various software programs and cell phone technologies
  • Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time remote position.
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
Hours: Sunday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM and Monday through Thursday 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Candidates need to be located in the state of California. 
Payrate: $25/hour
